I am Too

As a dancer practises pliés and a singer scales I make a few of these I am too sculptures every year. The first one named itself I am then the second and thereafter could only be I am too. The form is basically an open ovoid with attitude. Each is unique and not numbered. One of them can cost a day into days to coil then they are multiple fired from low to high. After each firing I grind and polish till the final maturing temperature of the clay is reached - depending on the clay 1120 centigrade to 1200 centigrade. The sculpture is always new even for my photographer Rob Bohle who has worked with them since 2000.
